The building has been rebuilt in 1818 and since then served as a school. Originally built originally as the sacristan's and school house, up to 240 pupils have been taught here. After the separation of the church offices and the school in 1939 the building has been declared as common school.
After World War II the number of pupils declined year by year. In 1949 there were 149 pupils, but in 1952 only 75. The school was closed in 1975. Between 1975 and 1990 the house was used for different purposes, e.g. a food shop.
In 2001 the restaurant "Alte Schule" moved into the building. We first started as tenants and bought the estate later. We converted the upper floor into guest's rooms in 2009.
